Surgery Information
Every cat adopted from Hoffmeyer Animal Rescue is required to be spayed or neutered. This important step helps control the cat population, improves long-term health, and ensures every kitty gets the best start in their new home.
We work with trusted veterinary partners to provide safe, affordable surgeries along with optional services to support your cat’s health. To make the process as easy as possible, we have outlined everything you need to know below.
How the Process Works
Schedule Your Surgery
Schedule the surgery using our request form. Our scheduler will contact you within 48 to 72 hours to confirm details.
Night Before Surgery
Prepare your cat by following the night-before and day-of instructions. This ensures your cat arrives safely for surgery.
Optional Services
Select optional services if needed, such as vaccines, pain management, or nail trims.
Post Surgery
Pick up your cat after surgery and follow the recovery and aftercare guidelines for a safe healing process.

Important Reminders

- Cats must arrive in hard-sided carriers (one cat per carrier).
- Proof of rabies vaccine is required. If your cat has not had one in the past 12 months, the vet will administer one for $12.
- Cancelations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- All cats go home the same day.
